Pros and cons of iHunter app for iPhone and iPad

iHunter app good for

A great app to have when planning and during the hunt. Great mapping of roads in the WMU and the maps that you can get to overlay easily help in contacting land owners and lease grazing contacts. Add waypoints when planning your hunts to find your way back to herds that were spotted.
Great app! Have access to landowner, lease holder info. Can get the app to track you! Have this app handy every time I am out for marking potential spots and stand sites + animal sightings. Best app for hunting in Alberta
This is a very versatile app. Yes, you have to be willing to pay a few bucks, but for good apps that serve a niche market like this one, its well worth it. Just the information one gets from the listed public lands, which is very comprehensive, is worth the money. The ability to overlay maps with a satellite view is worth the money. The ability to purchase county maps is really handy. It enables one to cache the maps so you can view them offline. Having the map with you as youre out, and not have to cart one around in your truck is handy. Thats worth the money. If youre willing to get off your wallet, youll say its worth every penny. I had an issue with a new release, I emailed the help email address, and Mark had an answer to me within a few hours. As it turns out, it wasnt the release of a new version at fault, it was on my end. I simply had to toggle a setting and viola, it was "fixed." He emailed me instructions on how to make the change to my settings. I was and am impressed. Im also a land owner, so I use the county map very often for ranching purposes. Is nice for roughly checking property lines and fence lines. I cant say enough about it. Theres much more to the software, but youll find it WELL worth the money. Happy hunting, all.
A wealth of useful information. Well worth the $7. Works great in areas with limited cellular coverage.
This is a great app but seeing what they charge for the app and all the add-ons after the fact the least the developers can do is provide better road maps after all is said and done you have paid almost 30$ for the app
Please add a map ruler or put a scale in the corner of the map to ease distance calculation/estimation between locations. Please add iCloud synchronization between iPhone and iPad versions. Great job otherwise.

Some bad moments

Cancelled subscription to app last year.. Just got an email charging me for auto renewal. Wtf.
This app is absolutely useless unless you want to upgrade for 10-30$ per upgrade.. Thanks for the 7$ app that has zero benefit whatsoever and a map with less info than the iOS installed one that was free. Would have been better off buying a beer at the pub
dont do it. thought "Alberta" must be legit. nope. $7.00. suckers... you open and select an area an its asks for $15.00 more. no map info, no crown land info. shame. im reporting you, whom ever you are.
I just downloaded the new update today and now when I open the app it shuts itself down immediately. Please fix this app it was so good.
Just did update. Try to open app It says loading maps and then crashes. Hopefully there is a new update for this soon
This app is a great idea and can be really handy for a quick reference, but for a long time its just never worked good, from constant crashes to it not even loading.
